On Tuesday night, Donald Trump spoke with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News. Trump discussed the border crisis, the COVID pandemic, the Biden agenda, and other controversial issues in the wide-ranging interview.
Maria Bartiromo asked Trump for his thoughts on Biden’s agenda after Trump slammed Biden’s handling of the border crisis. Take a look at his response:

Trump contrasted his administration with Biden’s by arguing that his had set record-low unemployment rates in virtually every demographic, led the nation to energy independence, and experienced low gas prices. On the other hand, the Biden administration was in charge of skyrocketing gas prices, which Trump likened to a “wage increase” on customers, and was preparing to propose the “biggest tax hike in the history of our country to pay for everything.”
He described the situation as “devastating.” “It’s heartbreaking to watch.”
“Fortunately, in my administration, and through what I did, frankly, and others, but particularly what I did with the FDA, I forced them to move quickly,” Trump continued. “And instead of five years, we were able to complete the vaccine in nine months. To be honest, I don’t think it would have ever been completed. Since this would have never been allowed under their rules and regulations.”
He went on to say, “But we got a vaccine done in 9 months.” “And, happily, that will save not only our country, but the entire world.”
Donald Trump also weighed in on Biden’s contention that he inherited the border crisis and the new administration’s lack of credit for the vaccine’s previous administration.
“We did a fantastic job, but we don’t get nearly enough credit for it,” he responded. “Dr. Fauci, Birx, and all of these people who have done nothing but mistakes, they didn’t want to do it, they didn’t want to close it to China. China’s border was closed by me. Long before they asked me to, I closed the border to Europe, Italy, and all these countries that were having big problems.”
He went on to say, “Because if you look at Biden, he didn’t want to do it months later.” “And he acknowledged that he said that incorrectly. We would have lost hundreds of thousands more lives if I hadn’t done that.”
“But the vaccine is the big thing… and I’ve always thought it was the most important,” Trump continued. “The vaccine was always going to be the key.”
“And when Biden got the vaccine in December,” Trump said, “he made a joke on January 20th saying he doesn’t think we have vaccines.” Today, I’m not sure whether he made that comment as a statement or whether he didn’t realize we had the vaccine. What really is going on there? But he got his chance in December, his first shot…”
President Trump has urged Americans to get vaccinated.
“So, Mr. President, I know you got the vaccine, and Mrs. Trump got the vaccine as well; would you suggest the vaccine to our audience?”
Trump responded, “I will.” “I think it’s a good idea. And I’d suggest it to a lot of people who are reluctant to buy it. And, to be honest, a lot of those people voted for me. But, as previously said, we have our freedoms. That is something we all live by. That’s something I agree with as well.”
